Do you know
Life after death
Everyone does not want to think what happens after death. But as a human being you should definitely know what is the scenario behind after death. If you know what happens to you, then you can reduce the actions (karma) in the present life. So please dont ignore this mind awakening.
The concept of what happens after death is deeply intertwined with beliefs about the soul (Atman), karma, and the cycle of rebirth (samsara). This journey of the soul is influenced by one's actions in life and can lead to various experiences in the afterlife and subsequent rebirths. Here's a detailed look at these stages:
Immediate After life
1. Separation of the Soul from the Body:
- Upon death, the soul (Atman) leaves the physical body. The Bhagavad Gita describes this as the soul discarding a worn-out body and taking a new one.
- After leaving the body, the soul enters a transitional state often referred to as Preta Loka. Here, the soul is neither fully in the earthly realm nor in the spiritual realms. It is a period where the soul reflects on its past life and experiences the consequences of its actions (karma).
Pathways for the Soul
Depending on the soul's karma, it can take various pathways after death:
1. Pitrloka (Realm of Ancestors):
- Souls with positive karma may reach Pitrloka, a realm of ancestors. Here, they are honoured and remembered by their descendants through rituals like Shraddha and Tarpana. These rituals are believed to provide sustenance and comfort to the departed souls.
- Souls with significant positive karma might ascend to Swargaloka, the heavenly realms, where they experience pleasure and happiness. These realms are often associated with the gods and are considered temporary abodes before the soul is reborn again.
- Souls with negative karma may descend to Narakaloka, the hellish realms, where they experience suffering as a result of their actions. This is also considered a temporary state where the soul undergoes purification.
- Eventually, the soul is reborn into a new life based on its accumulated karma. This rebirth can occur in various forms, including human, animal, or other life forms, depending on the karmic debt and credit.
The Ultimate Goal: Moksha
1. Liberation from the Cycle of Rebirth:
- The ultimate goal in Hindu spirituality is to attain Moksha, or liberation from the cycle of samsara (birth, death, and rebirth). Moksha is achieved through self-realization, understanding the true nature of the soul, and its unity with Brahmam, the supreme reality.
- Jnana Yoga (Path of Knowledge): Realization of the self and its unity with Brahmam through wisdom and insight.
- Bhakti Yoga (Path of Devotion): Surrendering to and loving God wholeheartedly.
- Karma Yoga (Path of Selfless Action): Performing one's duty without attachment to results.
- Raja Yoga (Path of Meditation): Attaining self-control and inner peace through meditation and mental discipline.
Philosophical Interpretations
1. Advaita Vedanta:
- This non-dualistic philosophy teaches that the individual soul (Atman) and the ultimate reality (Brahmam) are one. Realizing this unity leads to liberation (Moksha).
- This dualistic philosophy posits a distinction between the individual soul and God. Devotion and surrender to God are seen as pathways to liberation.
In spirituality, what happens after death is a complex process influenced by one's karma and spiritual practices. The soul's journey involves various stages and realms, ultimately aiming for liberation from the cycle of rebirth. By understanding and adhering to the principles of karma, dharma, and spiritual practice, individuals can influence their afterlife journey and work towards achieving Moksha, the ultimate state of eternal bliss and unity with the divine.
After death will be even more miserable than current life. You can see many form of colors to your subtle body after death. A magnet kind of power will pull you to leave the world, still you can see what happens around for some days and then leave. MKB used to do conversation with prethas during dhyana, check below.
- MKB: Who are you, why you came here?
- Soul (Pretha): I am burning, like taking bath in fire, please help me!
- MKB: It is your karma created by you, what you need now?
- Soul (Pretha): Please ask my family to do these action so that, fire on me will reduce.
- MKB: Why can't you say this to your family members directly?
- Soul (Pretha): I cannot, as their inner mind has no frequency to go near them.
- MKB: I cannot do so, its your karma, you have to be in that state until you get free. Get lost.
- Soul (Pretha): Heavily crying!!!!!!!!!!
MKB's advice is, please do not do unnecessary activities which might result in more karma, try to reduce lie, dont' feel guilty, don't hurt other's, let go hurt feelings, don't enjoy other's wealth, don't be greedy, do dhanams, eat satvik food, love yourself first, live for you and don't live for other's. Long way to learn!!
